Welcome to Red Devil Sports, dedicated to Evanston Red Devils past and present.
The hope is to showcase Red Devil sports through pictures, video clips, audio replays, interactive calendars and message boards. Post to theRed Devil "Shout Out" and calendars. If you have images you would like to share, please do so. From the blends for the headers like the one above for each individual sport to slide shows and more, the hope is to be very image intensive. Email to markmadia@yahoo.com or call 444-6275 if you have images you could loan to be scanned and then returned. This goes for anything Red Devil - old programs or other memorabilia. Upload your files - pictures, images, audio, etc. for inclusion on the site and for our sportscasts. Go to the Upload Page! -- Thanks!
This site is just beginning and sponsorships may be available. Check out the drop down list under "sports" and select girl's basketball or LRD Volleyball to get an idea of what we'd like to showcase for all sports. Post on the topics on the message board or add to the calendar. Please keep the all comments clean; this is a site dedicated to Evanston High School athletics, after all...
All-State Red Devils 2008.11.25 23:51
The other night while taking a few pics and recording the Red Devil Senior Basketball Players for a radio promo, I went upstairs and took pictures of pictures, yep, the All-State pics. I have cropped them and sorted them into the various sports. The plan is to add the All-State Red Devils & Lady Red Devils in a slide show or something like that to each sport's individual page.
I started with football and that slide show is located at the bottom of this page, for now. Obviously better pics can be substituted, as some display the camera flash and/or the window glare from the display case. I know that the pics showcased at EHS are not an all-inclusive list, as there are two All-State athletes from my family who are not included, but hey, it's a great start. If you would like to swap a pic (for a better one, like the original) or you or someone you know was an All-State performer for the Red Devils, send your digital image and info to markmadia@yahoo.com or call 444-MARK and we'll add it in, scan your original or whatever it takes. Remember, this is for all Red Devil sports.

The Evanston Red Devils lose their lid-lifter in the McDonald's Classic, taking on the 5th ranked Cheyenne Central Indians on their home floor, 45-47. Multiple ties and lead changes early on, but the Red Devils were up on the Indians more than the other way around in the 1st half, until a later 2nd quarter surge from Central. It was tied at 11 with one quarter in the books. Cheyenne Central hit on 3 of their 4 three's for the game in the 2nd quarter, outscoring the Red Devils as the half wound down, 16 to 12, and taking a 27-23 lead in at the break.
The Indians would best the Red Devils by a deuce in the 3rd, up 40-34, entering the final stanza. Jace Short drained 2 three's from downtown in the 4th, on his way to a game-high 17, before fouling out. Jeff Lee connected on two clutch free-throws to tie the game at 45 with 38 seconds remaining. Central called time-out with 15 tics left, and while not getting a great look, a fall-away jumper near the top of the key found it's way home with less than 2 seconds on the game-clock, winning the opener for Cheyenne Central.
Short led all scorers with 17, including 4 from downtown, while Beau Ehlers converted 6 buckets and hit 3-7 free-throws, also finishing in double-digits with 15. Jeff Lee scored once from the field and netted 5 of 8 free-throw attempts to add 7. Kashe Olson was 4-8 from the stripe for 4, and Cody Thompson knocked down a first quarter bucket to end with 2. The Red Devils line: 9 baskets, 4 three-pointers and 54% shooting from the line, 15-28.
Ten Indians reached the scoring column, with Casey Jackson the only double-figures scorer with 10. Cheyenne Central's line: 15 inside the arc, 4 long-balls (2 for Jackson) and 5-6 shooting from the stripe.

The interview posted above took place during the noon hour on Thursday. My thanks to Campbell County Camel Head Football Coach Vic Wilkerson for taking the time to chat with me. In my limited experience with Google Voice (very slick, by the way) I have found that my voice level is usually louder than most, so I backed off and really shouldn't have. The audio from Coach wilkerson does sound pretty good, in my opinion -- what do you think? Go Red Devils!
The Red Devils took 2nd at State, 2nd in District, losing both times to Rock Springs. Jack "Dub" Mills, (he appears to have autographed this copy of a 1936-1937 Devils Diary) was a member of this team; they're may be other team members who still have relatives here. Click on the title or '36-'37 Red Devils
Red Devils win 46-37 in a 4th seed/5th seed loser-out game vs. Star Valley; the Braves beat Evanston last Thursday in Afton 60-49 and Evanston won 57-51 in the ETown. Red Devils will return to Casper next Thursday for state. Evanston plays host and #1 seed/#1 ranked Natrona County Friday night @ 9 - should be a hostile environment. Coach O'Neill stated in his post-game interview, "Green River may have awoken the sleeping giant," referring to Green River's home victory over the Mustangs last Saturday by 4 to end the conference; Natrona had defeated Rock Springs 96-24 the night before. Did the Mustangs take the Wolves too lightly? No, probably not - Green River is a pretty solid ball club this year - swept the Red Devils for the first time in many moons. Natrona may want to come out tomorrow night before a packed, partisan crowd and prove to all that their average margin of victory this season, (27 points) was no fluke. They, of course, had a first round bye, awaiting the winner of tonight's Red Devil-Brave game.
Green River #2, also, received a first round bye, and will face Kelly Walsh, who sent the Tigers home today, winning by 10.
The Lady Red Devils were not so lucky, as the 3rd time was the charm for the Lady Wolves of Green River, who will face the #1 Natrona County Fillies tomorrow @ 5:30. The Lady Devils had defeated the Lady Wolves in Green River & Evanston in the 4A West conference run, but the Lady Wolves sent this one to OT, hit two big three's early in the extra period to make it 50-44, and went on to defeat Evanston 56-48, marking the first time in 9 or 10 years, the Lady Red Devils won't be attending state.
Still very proud of our ETown girls, and everyone who played tonight, (lone senior Wendy Davis had surgery and did not make the trip) is back next year.
Go Lady Red Devils!
A Lady Red Devil-Red Devil doubleheader begins @ 7:30 from Natrona County High School Gym, the host school for the 4A West Regional Hoops Tourney. Win, and they're in - two more games in the regional tourney, and more importantly, back to Casper next Thursday for the State Tournament. Should either ETown team falter, their season ends tonight. Lots of pressure. Do or Die, and I think both teams "DO." Lady Red Devils swept their opponent, the Lady Wolves of Green River, while the guys split with theirs, the Star Valley Braves, with both winning on their home floors in the conference run. Here's the online listening link for anyone who may want to tune in from outside of 1240 AM Stereo KEVA's coverage area:

The Evanston Red Devils & Lady Red Devils will both continue in 4A West Conference competition this weekend to close out the month of Januaray in Sweetwater County. Friday night, Evanston invades Wolves Gym in Green River to face the Lady Wolves & Wolves and Saturday's match-ups will pit Evanston against Rock Springs in Tiger Gym to square off against the Lady Tigers & Tigers. Our pre-game coverage for both doubleheaders will air @ 5:30, in advance of the girl's tip-offs, scheduled for 5:45, with guy's games to follow @ 7:30 PM on 1240 AM Stereo KEVA for Friday and 99.1 FM KNYN Magic 99 for Saturday's games.

The Red Devils down the 3A Jackson Broncs 75-49 to rise to 5-1, and the Lady Red Devils notch their first victory of the season, dispatching the Lady Eagles of Layton Christian Academy 69-22, a game in which every Lady Red Devil reached the scoring column. Thanks to the Kirby's for sending along some shots that wer converted to a slide show and posted to the Girl's Basketball page under the Sports tab above. Go Lady Red Devils!
A little scrambled in our copy & paste, so the original link is included, as the Red Devils & Lady Red Devils compete in the 14th Annual Flaming Gorge Classic in Green River, this Thursday-Saturday. Lady Red Devil & Red Devils games will be carried live on 1240 AM Stereo KEVA and simulcast online on Thursday & Friday, and on Magic 99 for Saturday's games. Go Red Devils!

Catch the Mark & Bill Morning Show on Magic 99 on Friday morning. We'll figure out what to do the with the 2nd half sportscast of the 64-61 Red Devil road victory over the Trojans in Morgan, Utah. Our sportscast gear is analogue. The school lines @ Morgan are digital. We purchased 100 extra feet of phone wire, but despite great support from Morgan Activity & Athletic staff, the incompatibility couldn't be conquered. A digital cell phone will no longer work with our automated broadcast equipment @ KEVA.
I tried to video the first half and do play-by-play, so I couldn't keep a score book. The audio can probably not be used as planned, since I am drowned out by the crowd, (there's a reason headset/microphone combos are needed in gyms!). In the second half I recorded to a Zoom H2 using our sportscast gear as if I were on the air. We'll play back that second half at some point on KEVA on Friday.
Pack Red Devil Gym Friday night as the Mountain View Buffalos invade, with Uinta County bragging rights on the line. I don't have the score book with me, but I do remember Jacie Egley (sp) she's the real deal and Amber Henry is a nice ball player, as well. The Lady Buffs took the Lady Red Devils to OT (or was it 2OT?!) in last year's Flaming Gorge Classic about a year ago.
The Red Devils haven't seen the Buffs in years and will try to research them later (I have some audio I have to check and a video to watch). Here's a copy of a report to WoPreps.com Go Red Devils!
The Evanston Red Devils came from 11 down in the 2nd half to defeat the Morgan, Utah Trojans in Morgan on Thursday night.
Due to incompatibility with analogue broadcasting equipment with digital phone lines, KEVA was not able to carry the sportscast. I chose to film the game in the 1st half (and didn't keep a scorebook) and then recorded the 2nd half for a tape-delay broadcast on Friday, so I don't have any individual scoring leaders for either team.
There were at least 6 lead changes and 5 ties, including a 13-13 deadlock with one in the books. Morgan held a 3 point advantage at the break, 32-29. The Red Devils went up by 3 in the third, but trailed 40 to 45 entering the 4th. Morgan would rally for their second double-digit lead in the 4th, up by 11, but some big buckets and free-throws by Brady Ehlers, Hazen Davis and Jace Short turned the tides. Davis and Ehlers each had 14 in the 2nd half as the Red Devils rise to 3-1 with their 64-61 road victory.
A rare December Lady Red Devil-Red Devil double-header is on tap for Friday night, with Uinta County bragging rights up for grabs. The 0-3 Lady Red Devils face a very talented Mountain View Lady Buff team @ 5:45, with the Buffaloes-Red Devils game to follow @ 7:30.

There is a slideshow comprised of pics from the '08 Shrine Bowl taken by Mr. McCoy - about 900 pics on the disc. The shots include some Red Devil greats, and something that we'll try to keep rotated in with additional slideshows. Check 'em out on the Shrine Bowl homepage!
On Thursday, the winter sports season begin for EHS with Lady Red Devil & Red Devils hoops begin with a 4:45 tap with the Lady Eagles of Dakota Ridge at Cheyenne Central's Fieldhouse. The Lady Devils will also match up with the Lady Indians of Cheyenne Central at 6:30 on Friday & the Lady Thunderbirds of Cheyenne East, in their house, Saturday morning @ 10:45. The Red Devils meet former conference rival Cheyenne Central @ Central @ 8:15 Thursday night, East @ East Friday @ 1:15, and close with the Laramie Plainsmen @ Storey Gym @ 12:15 on Saturday. Catch all the play-by-play action on 1240 AM Stereo KEVA and our online feed
Meanwhile back at the EHS Ranch/Gym, one of the best wrestling events in the region with the annual EI, Evanston Invitational. Multiple matches simultaneously with schools from all over Wyoming and neighboring states with racous crowds cheering them on! It's Friday afternoon/evening, and all day Saturday.
Go Red Devils!
Former Red Devil All-State pics (pics of pics from the EHS display case - see post below) have been added to the basketball pages for both the Red Devils & Lady Red Devils and to the Red Devil Wrestling pages, too.
Go Red Devils!
I know that the pics showcased at EHS are not an all-inclusive list, as there are two All-State athletes from my family who are not included, but hey, it's a start.
Excited for the winter sports seasons to get underway? I know I am and it won't be long. A little over a week away from this writing, as the Lady red Devils and Red Devils will open their season at the McDonald's Classic Tourney and the Big EI - Evanston Invitational Wrestling Tournament will again be staged in red Devil Gym. Plus, Swimming & Diving @ EHS will begin the following week.
Go Red Devils!
Practices are under way for EHS Red Devils winter sports.
Red Devil Wrestling will open and host, as usual, "The EI," the Evanston Invitational on December 5th & 6th, a huge event with a great tradition all its own. Freshman, JV & Varsity matches featuring wrestlers from all around the Cowboy State and beyond from Red Devil Gym on multiple mats.
Red Devil & Lady Red Devil Hoops will get it started a day earlier, competing in the McDonald's Classic Tournament in Cheyenne, Thursday December 4th - 6th.
Red Devil Swimming & Diving will open their season with the Rawlins Invite on Saturday, December 13th.
Go Red Devils!
Following Evanston's tough loss @ Cheyenne Central, the Red Devils hosted an old rival Thursday night, in the 4A West Star Valley Braves. A bittersweet, but more sweet than bitter 19-0 win for Red Devil head coach Scott Robinson, who grew up in Star Valley's Freedom, Wyoming.
QB Brady Ehlers rolled out to his left from the Star Valley 3 and seeing his receivers covered, tucked it under and scampered 3 yards for the first Red Devil score. Kory Liechty would convert the PAT and the Red Devils would take a 7-0 lead in at the break.
More to follow....
Copy of my recap for WyoPreps.com. My thanks to former head coach Doug Rigby and to Bill Smith for their outstanding contributions to the sports cast, and congratulations, Red Devils!
If you block it, he will run, and run he did. Evanston's Cory Anthos ran for four touchdowns and caught a Brady Ehlers screen pass for another score, finishing with 241 yards on 17 carries for 5 touchdowns and a 2 point conversion, as the Evanston Red Devils explode for 51 points in their Homecoming victory over the Laramie Plainsmen who tallied 23. The Red Devils seemingly wanted to seize momentum early and set the tone with an onsides kick to start the ball game, and it paid dividends. The second play from scrimmage, Cory Anthos scores his first before the seats were warm, with the game not yet a minute old...
(audio cut)
Doug Rigby along for the call. It was 13 to 3 at the break. 5 yards separated the teams in total offense, 371 to 365 with the Plainsmen amassing 15 rushing first downs, but in a game of field position and big plays, it was a Red Devil Homecoming night. Laramie QB Coleton Wilson scored on an 85 yard td run in the 4th and led the Plainsmen with 122 yards rushing, with leading ground-gainer Jon Sorsenson out, but returning after injury. 51-23 Evanston over Laramie. The Red Devils finish 5A South conference play @ Cheyenne Central's Riske Field next Friday night. For WyoPreps.com in Evanston, I'm Mark Madia.
The 1-3 (0-3) Evanston Red Devils play host to the 1-3 (0-1) Laramie Plainsmen for Homecoming 2008. Both teams' lone victory in the regular season was over the 5A North Casper Kelly Walsh Trojans, with Evanston coming from behind to defeat the Trojans 24-14 in week one in Evanston, and Laramie picking up their victory in Casper, 24-16 in week 3.
Evanston has dropped three straight since their zero week win over 4A Jackson and the KW victory, with all losses coming in conference play, 7-35 to the Wolves in Green River, followed by two heartbreakers, a 29-31 setback at Cheyenne East and an overtime 10-16 loss at home to the Rock Springs Tigers last week.
The Plainsmen lost @ East 6-19 to open the season, were defeated soundly by new #1 Sheridan, 32-3 in Laramie, followed by the victory in Casper, and last week were blanked at home in the Gem City by Scottsbluff, Nebraska, 23-0.
The Red Devils are in dire need of a conference "W" with a return trip to Cheyenne to face the Central Indians @ Riske Field to close out their 5A South Conference run next Friday.
Join our pregame coverage airing @ 6:20 in advance of the scheduled 7 PM kick-off from Red Devil Stadium on 1240 AM Stereo KEVA. The game will also be simulcast online and here's the online listening link: www.1240keva.com/kevalive.asx Go Red Devils!
There are a couple of video snippets taken at halftime of the EHS Classics and the Marching Band. They were shot with my digital camera and not my video cam, and they're not the best quality, nor are they professionally edited, but they are there. Check the drop-down menu under "Sports." During halftime, we're running down stats and such, but I had a bit of time during a radio broadcast time-out, and snagged my camera to take some pics and video. Go Red Devils!
Write-up for WyoPreps.com audio report:
In a tale of two halves, the Evanston Red Devils are upset by the Rock Springs Tigers, 16 to 10 in OT. Evanston recorded a first quarter safety for the game's first lead and took advantage of a short field for a second quarter 2 yard TD run by Josh Spero, capping a 35 yard drive. Brady Ehlers would find Trevor Hurd for a 2 point conversion to make it 10-zip, a score that would carry into the break. The Tigers boot a 32 yard field goal by Alec Lever for their first score, and Luke Aust blocks a Red Devil punt with 5:39 left in regulation and carries it in to pull to within one. The PAT is good, and the teams who combine for less than 200 yards of total offense, go to OT. The Tigers strike first on 3rd down....
(audio cut of Tiger OT Touchdown)
Evanston would call time out, but Spero is stopped short of the goal line from 2 yards out on 4th and goal, as Rocks Springs hangs on to notch their first victory of the season, while Evanston falls to 1-3. Evanston hosts Laramie for Homecoming next Friday, and the Tigers travel to 4A Jackson . For WyoPreps.com in Evanston, I'm Mark Madia

The 1-2 Evanston Red Devils are 27-19 versus the 0-3 Rock Springs Tigers since 1953, with 3 ties. The Red Devils defeated the Tigers 19-13 in Rock Springs in the regular season and 38 to 6 in the state playoff semi-final last season, but it's a whole new ball game with both teams seeking their first conference win tonight from Red Devil Stadium.

Go Red Devils!
Tough 7-35 Loss for the Red Devils @ Green River
The Red Devils found themselves down 21-0 with 4:14 left to play in the 1st. Green River struck early and often with Mike James returning a kick-off 30 yards, running for 10 on the first play from scrimmage, and then for 51 for the first Wolves score with just 33 seconds expired. Taking advantage of good field position, Green River also scored on their next two possessions behind two Derek Cutler scores, including a 27 yard breakaway.
The Red Devils demonstrated the ability to susain drives and move the football with a combination of run & pass, reaching the Wolve's redzone on consecutive possessions, but giving up on downs on the Green River 16 and then the Wolve 3.
When momentum seemed to be tilting, following the athletic interception by Hazen Davis and the sustained drive that finally had the Wolves deep in their own territory, Wolve QB Drew Martinez broke and cut through the Red Devil defense enroute to the game's longest score, scampering 60 yards to put the Wolves up 28-0 with a minute and a half left before the break. Green River had 285 yards in the first half, including rushing for 253, unofficially, while the Red Devils had 123, 52 on the ground and 72 through the air.
The Wolves would score on the first possession of the second half after the Red Devils gave up on downs for the third time in the game, this time at the Green River 35, and capped off by a Martinez to Mike James 23 yard strike. The Red Devils would score with a minute left in regulation to avoid the shut-out on a 4th and goal from the the 3 when Brady Ehlers found Cory Anthos in the endzone. Anthos again broke the century mark, leading Evanston with 117 yards on 25 carries. Both teams would end with 99 yards through the air, unofficially, with the Wolves amassing 392 yards of total offense while Evanston finished with 269, including 117 on the ground in the second half.
The win gives #1 Green River a 2-0 mark overall and they're 1-0 in the South 5A. #5 Evanston drops their conference opener and is 1-1 on the season, following their come-from-behind victory at home over Casper Kelly Walsh last friday. Green River blanked Riverton 48-0 in Week 1.
The Red Devils travel to the Capital City on Friday, September 19th to battle the #3 Cheyenne East Thunderbirds, who came from behind to beat Kelly Walsh 33-32 @ Cheyenne's Okie Blanchard Stadium. This will be the first meeting since last year's state title, which East won 24-14 over Evanston. East is 2-0 overall and 1-0 in the South 5A.
Go Red Devils!
The Red Devils face the #1 ranked Wolves this Friday night in Green River. Green River defeated the Natrona County Mustangs 14-12 in Casper during the zero week and blanked Riverton on the road last Friday night, 48-0. Here's a recently published article from the Green River Star:
Wolves gun for state title
THESE ARE JUST a few scenes from yesterday's practice. The Wolves first game will be against Natrona County on Aug. 30 in Casper. Their first home game will take place on Sept. 12 at Wolves Stadium.

The Green River Wolves football program shows some early signs of success that could blossom into a championship year.
“We have about 107 kids out this year,” head coach Darren Howard said. “Those are good numbers.”
Not only have the numbers been good for the Wolves, but the off-season as well.
“We had a great off-season. We combined some speed and weight training over the summer, and we had about 50-60 kids every morning regularly,” Howard commented.
The Wolves set an early work ethic that Howard hopes to continue throughout the season under some strong senior leadership.
“We have 12 seniors that have shown some great leadership skills,” Howard said.
Right behind those seniors, however, is talented junior class backing them up.
“We have a tremendously athletic junior class this year,” Howard said. “We didn’t lose much from last year.”
The coach commented that one of the team’s biggest assets is the player’s experience on the field.
“A lot of these guys got some time last year,” Howard said.
Howard and his team are planning on putting that experience to use right away, when they take on consistently top-ranked Casper Natrona High School during zero week on Aug. 30.
“We chose to play Natrona right off-the-bat because they are usually the benchmark for Wyoming football. We want to match-up with bigger schools in 4A and see where we stack up,” Howard said. “It will help us evaluate where we are and where we need to be.”
Howard said he sees some weakness in the depth of his offensive line, but is confident somebody will step up and do the job.
“In the meantime, we are just focusing on all phases of the game,” Howard said.
One thing is clear, however, the Wolves are gunning for a place in the state championship game.
“We have high expectations as we do every year. We always want to get to the championship game. That should be every coach’s wish,” Howard said.
With all the hard work the team as already put into this year’s season, it’s obvious they want it too.
“This is a team that wants to win. We had a championship off season, we just need to continue it,” Howard said.
Local fans will get their first glance at the Wolves on their home field Sept. 12 when Green River will host Evanston at Wolves stadium.
Been a while since anything has been posted here as we kind of took the summer off. Many great stories involving Red Devils, including Austin Kofoed's hoops heroics, maybe playing his very best basketball in the twilight of his high school career, competing on Wyoming All-Star teams versus South Dakota & Montana. There's Kelly Poppinga trying to follow in his older brother's footsteps by attempting to make an NFL roster (Kelly left Miami and is now trying out with the Seattle Seahawks) and Jaycee Carroll's signing to play in Italy for a year before setting his sights on the NBA once again, and more...
Fall sports are in full swing with Golf and Cross-Country involving both male and female EHS athletes, Girl's Swimming & Diving, Lady Red Devil Volleyball and of course, Red Devil Football, getting underway in earnest tonight, as the Red Devils host the Casper Kelly Walsh Trojans to usher in the Scott Robinson era from Red Devil Stadium with a 7 PM kick-off. Here's hoping you'll be a part of the excitement!
A short video clip from last night's volleyball match vs. a very good Lyman Lady Eagle team is posted under the Video tab above. It's not good in terms of camera work and was filmed with a camera designed more for taking pics, as I didn't bring any mini-discs for my video cam, but it is there, nonetheless.
Go Red Devils!
The photos used in the track-soccer montage were all taken by Uinta County Herald Sports Editor Steve Kodad. By this summer, we should have the ability for you to visit Steve's site, check out the pics, select those you'd like to purchase, pay by check or credit card through PayPal and then download your purchases. For now, check the site, look for the description beloe the pic, (write 'em down, maybe) then email Steve and tell him the pics you'd like, and he'll send them to you. He is set up for PayPal, so you can make your purchases that way (we'll add the PayPal button soon) - just not the ability to have you select, purchase and then be brought back to a download page, but again, that's on the way. The Red Devils will also square of against Campbell County @ noon. The Camels won their regional and will be the #1 seed from the East, while the Red Devils took 4th hosting their regional tourney, following their Saturday loss to the Rock Springs Tigers, 54-58. Rock Springs placed 3 players as double-digit scorers - Brandon Allen with 18, Austin Maxwell with 14 and Kevin Gold, who finished 13. Evanston also had 3 players with 10 or better, but only 5 players total reached the scoring column. Michael Bryant shared game-high honors with 18, Will Barnard ended with 15 and Austin Kofoed had 14 for the Red Devils. The fourth seeded Red Devils enter the State Tournament with a 17-9 mark for the season.
The Red Devils hover around 5 down with leads as much as 8 for Natrona County as the Mustangs would take an 8 point lead in at the break, 27-19; Natrona led 18-10 with one complete. The Mustangs outscore Evansto by 10 in the 3rd to make it a 46-28 ballgame entering the 4th. Tommy Earl leads Natrona with 16. Mario Harris and freshman Jordan Dick both end with 9 and Michael Dietz finishes with 6. Austin Kofoed has 15 for Evanston, the only Red Devil in double-digits. Evanston will play Rock Springs (for 3rd & 4th for seeding at state) on Saturday @ 11:45. The Tigers swept the Red Devils during the 4A West Conference season, including their last meeting on February 16th, a thrilling 96-93 win in double overtime in Rock Springs. Tip-off is scheduled for 11:45, following the Lady Red Devils - Lady Wolves, also playing for 3rd place @ 10 AM
The Natrona County Fillies come from 6 down at the half and trailing most of the 3rd quarter to defeat the Green River Lady Wolves 54-48.
This one was closer than the final score would indicate, but Green River does vault themselves into the 4A West title game with their third consecutive victory of the season over their cross-county rivals to face the Evanston - Natrona victor.
The Evanston Lady Red Devils jumped out to a 8-0 lead and led 11-7 with one quarter complete, but it was all Rock Springs from that point on. The Tigers led 24-19 at the break and extended the lead to 9 at the end of 3, 43-34. Up by as many as 17 late in the 3rd, the Tigers allowed the Lady devils to get as close as 9, but no closer. Ashley Stewart had 11 field goals for a game-high 25 and Courtney Patterson added 13 for the Lady Tigers who will play the Green River Natrona winner on Saturday. Ashley Davis led Evanston with 16 while Jana Barker finished with a season-high 15. The Lady Devils will open day 3 of the 4A West Regional Tournament @ 10 AM.
Let's pack the house tonight!
The 4th seeded Evanston Red Devils end the season of the 5th seeded Casper Kelly Walsh Trojans by a final tally of 60-44 for their 4th victory over the Trojans in as many games. Austin Kofoed scored a game-high 18, Will Barnard finished with 16 and Michael Bryant had 13 for the Red Devils, who led wire to wire. Kelly Walsh had 3 players reach double-digits with Matt Nolan going for 11 and Joe Munsell and Lucas Nolan each with 10. Evanston plays #1 seed & #1 ranked Casper Natrona @ 8:45 on Friday night.
The 4th seeded Lady Wolves of Green River pull away at the end to end the season for the 5th-seeded Kelly Walsh Lady Trojans in a tight ballgame, 53-47. Green River led 28-23 at the break, but most of the 2nd half was a one-possession game. Green River will face the #1 seeded Natrona County Fillies on Friday @ 7 PM.
The 6th seeded Star Valley Braves made it interesting, but in the end it was the 3rd seeded Rock Springs Tigers advancing to face their cross-county rivals, #2 Green River, by virtue of a 58-48 victory at Red Devil Gym. The two Sweetwater County schools will play @ 5:15 on Friday.
The Evanston Lady Red Devils earn a trip to state and live to play another day with a 58-44 victory over the Lady Braves of Star Valley. Stephanie Lee led Evanston with 17, Ashley Davis finished with 14, all in the 2nd half, and Jana Barker added 11. Star Valley's Danette Warren led all scorers with 20 and Carolee Saunders added 12. Evanston will play the Lady Tigers of Rock Springs @ 3:30 on Friday.
The Lady Red Devil-Red Devil Hoops Doubleheader from Thursday night, February 22nd vs.Star Valley can be listened to by clicking here or by clicking the post title link. The girls and guys games are separated into tracks as pregame, quarters and post games and also include extra tacks for the coach interviews, the National Anthem by Nicole Kallas and our interview with the "Amazing #20," Jaycee Carroll. Listen in and leave your comments! Go Red Devils!
The Lady Red Devils finish 6-4 in the 4A West and 15-8 overall as they defeat visiting Lady Braves of Star Valley 56-41. Stephanie Lee led all scorers with 18, Ashley Davis added 17 and Kelsi Thornock reached a new career-high with 10. Danette Warren was the only Lady Brave in double-digits with 15. Star Valley falls to 4-17 on the season and 1-9 in the West 4A.
Will Barnard netted a game-high 15 while Michael Bryant had 12, Caleb Carroll hit for 11 and Austin Kofoed chipped in 10 as the Red Devils roll past the Star Valley Braves 72-38. Evanston finished the regular season 16-7 and end the 4A West Conference run with a 6-4 mark. Zane Porter and Mitch Schwab each had 8 to lead Star Valley, 2-19 (0-10).
The win was costly for the Red Devils. Hazen Davis, arguably Evanston's most dangerous offensive weapon, had two players fall on him while diving for a loose ball, and is likely done for the season with a broken collar bone.
Here's a copy of a post I made to the scoreboard at WyoPreps.com
A big-time win for the Lady Red Devils!
The Evanston Lady Red Devils avenge a January 26th home court loss with a 57-50 road victory at Rock Springs. Ashley Davis had an impressive line that included 19 points, 16 rebounds, 3 blocks, 5 assists and 3 steals. Jana Barker had 13 before fouling out midway through the 4th and sophomore Sammi Kofoed had a career-high 10 for Evanston.
Amanda Wilmore and Mercedes Crouch hit for 14 and 13, respectively, to lead the Lady Tigers.
The Lady Tigers were 24-34 from the stripe while Evanston hit 14 of 21 free-throws.
Evanston travels to Casper for postponed 4A West Conference games with Kelly Walsh and Natrona County on Monday & Tuesday, before hosting Star Valley on on Thursday to close out the conference season. Evanston will play host to the 4A West Regional Tournament on February 28th, 29th & March 1st.
Rock Springs (and Green River) will host the two Casper schools next weekend.
Here's a copy of a post that I made to the score board at WyoPreps.com - a heartbreaker for the Red Devils...
Austin Maxwell hit a 3 at the buzzer to lift the Rock Springs Tigers past the Evanston Red Devils 96-93 in double overtime. The teams were tied at 73 at the end of regulation, at 84 after one extra period and 11 times during the game which also featured 11 lead-changes.
My stats may have been a little off but I had Maxwell and Kolby Vasa with 25 each and Kevin Gold with 12 for the Tigers. Austin Kofoed led Evanston with a career high 28 (or 30) Hazen Davis also had a career-high 25, Will Barnard finished with 15 and Caleb Carroll with 12. Barnard and Davis fouled out for Evanston while Brandon Allen, Devin Hansen and Austin Mivshek all committed 5 personals for Rock Springs.
Rock Springs swept Evanston, Evanston swept Green River and Green River swept Rock Springs. The two Sweetwater County schools end the regular season in Casper facing the Trojans and Mustangs, while the Red Devils have a make-up game with Casper Kelly Walsh on Monday in the ETown and host Star Valley on Thursday.
Evanston will host the 4A West Regional Tournament February 28th - March 1st.
The Red Devils outscore the Mustangs 43 to 36 in the 2nd half but it wasn't enough as the Mustangs led by a baker's dozen at the break, 27-14. Natrona shot 19-21 from the stripe (19-20 without the lane violation) and were led by Tom Earl's 17. Michael Dietz left the game but returned and finished with 14, as did Ad Boatright. Evanston was paced by Austin Kofoed's game-high 20, Will Barnard's 10 and Hazen Davis who ended with 16, including 14 in the 4th quarter. The Red Devils fall to 13-6 (3-3) while the Mustangs rise to 17-1 and are a perfect 6-0 in the 4A West.
The Natrona game will be at 4. I am assuming its like this so they can get home after
Will the Natrona game be at 7:30 like normal?
Thanks, Devil! More news....T. J. Claunch Executive Director of the Shrine Bowl Of Wyoming announced the coaching staff and players for the south team for the 35th annual Shrine Bowl Of Wyoming all-star football game to be played in Casper June 14, 2008 with the kickoff set for 7 PM. The game will be played at the Natrona County High School stadium. Claunch stated that the 36 players for the game were selected but he is still awaiting the names of the 12 alternates for the game and expects to have these within a week and when he receives them the names of these 12 individuals will be released.
Here are the Red Devils who have been selected: Cody Saloga, Jake Spero, Justin Willard & Kyle Crandall. Congratulations - very well deserved. I would bet that some of the 12 alternates will be Red Devils, too...
Natrona will come to town this tuesday, Feb 12th and the kelly walsh game is still undecided
I'll post it here as soon as I hear of it. Evanston will have to make up 2 games, and if I'm not mistaken, both Casper schools will have 3 to make up. I know the Sweetwater schools travel to Casper in the final weekend of the regular season and Evanston closes out the conference season on the Thursday prior to the final weekend by hosting Star Valley. We're @ Green River/Rock Springs on Friday & Saturday, 2-15 & 2-16. Look for some early in the week games would be my guess...
Anyone know when the games will be rescheduled for?
Please don't be afraid (or whatever the reason is that's holding you back) from posting here on the Shout Out, but especially to The Red Devil Forum, even if it's just to wish your favorite athlete or team good luck on in their next game, match or meet. People are reading, but not posting; I don't want to read my own posts - it's there for a reason - please use it. Once a few posts are made, others will add to it, (it just works that way - I've seen it in action before) and then some great online discussion will take place, but a few of you have to step up to the plate & take a swing, (how's that for a sports metaphor?) Add a new topic or reply to those I've listed. Just Do It, as the Nike expression goes...let our Red Devl & Lady Red Devil athletes know you're proud of their efforts and accomplishments. Thanks!
There's a game story on the Rock Springs Tigers upset of the 3rd ranked Red Devils posted to the forum under Red Devils Basketball. You can also search by word with the forum for posts containing the searched for detail, (names, teams, etc.).
A great night for the Rocket City, a tough night in the ETown as the Lady Tigers pick up road win over the 5th ranked Lady Devils, 59-50. Evanston played without senior Nicole Kallas, (knee injury) who everyone I know wishes only very best.
Devil - My apologies. I saw a repeated post from you - I know it happens sometimes, it was nothing you did. I went to take one off and got 'em both. Doh!
Devil's shout out was something like, "Finally a home game this weekend. I hope we pack the house." Me too, Devil, me too...

Lady Red Devils 54 Douglas Lady Bearcats 44
Senior Stephanie Lee scored a game-high and career high 22 points to lead the Lady Red Devils to 10 point victory over the 3A Lady Bearcats of Douglas; Steph hit Evanston's lone 3 pointer, to go along with 6 field goals and 7-10 shooting from the free-throw line. Seniors Ashley Davis and Nicole Kallas also reached double-digits with 13 & 10 points, respectively.
Evanston jumped out to an 8-0 lead, only to see Douglas storm back to take the lead, behind 3 from downtown and 11 first quarter points from Bearcat Senior Rachel Saunders, who would show the way for Douglas with 13. Senior Kelsey Scott chipped in 11, with 9 second half points. There were 3 ties and 3 lead changes, but Evanston lead at every quarter break, 15-14, 23-19, 37-26 with the final score of 54-44.

The 2007-2008 Hoops Season tips-off for the Lady Red Devils & Red Devils in Cheyenne this Thursday - Saturday and "The EI," the Evanston Invitational Wrestling Tournament will be hosted @ EHS Gym.
The Lady Red Devils & Red Devils will play back-to-back, so we will have doubleheaders all 3 days with Thursday & Friday's sportscasts airing on KEVA (1240 AM Stereo) and Saturday's "two-fer" on Magic 99 (99.1 FM) to make way for Wyoming Cowboy Hoops on KEVA.
Thursday evening, the Lady Red Devils will face the 3A Lady Bear Cats of Douglas @ 6:30 with the Red Devils squaring off against the Plainsmen of Laramie to follow @ 8:15 PM from historic Storey Gym.
Friday, both teams will face Cheyenne East from Thunderbird Gym, again @ 6:30 & 8:15 PM.
On Saturday, both Evanston teams battle Cheyenne Central from Central Gymnasium with 2 PM and 3:45 tap times.
This is the first year that Evanston will compete in the McDonald's Classic. We will try to take the air for pregame coverage 15 minutes before the first tip-off, but often times, in tournament play, phone lines are at a premium.
In years past, Laramie and the Cheyenne schools were South 4A Conference opponents for Evanston. They will now be grouped with Campbell County, Sheridan & Riverton to form the 4A East. Evanston will shoot it out in the new 4A West with Star Valley, Green River, Rock Springs, Casper Kelly Walsh & Natrona County of Casper. This alignment is for all sports, with the exception of football, still divided into the 5A South & 5A North for the largest school's classification.
Take your radio to EHS Gym to see some of the best wrestling action in the region while you listen to the hoops sportscasts. The EI often features 7 to 9 matches taking place simultaneously, with 30 plus teams in the freshman, jv and varsity divisions. This tournament to begin the season may be the toughest that Evanston and other teams compete in all season long! It's also a great economic boon to the community. Welcome to the EI in the ETown Wrestling Fans, Coaches, and Competitors!
Go Red Devils!
Sportscast Replays...my apologies...they take a little time to edit into quarters, post game, etc.,
to ease in navigation. 3.5 hour files take awhile to upload, too, even on a fast internet connection. The remaining games have been edited, except for Laramie; that was the game we took the feed from David Settle & Verdon Hoopes of KOWB in Laramie, but I believe I have it. We'll get them posted asap, probably out of chronological order, though, beginning with the State title game...it's not every year you get to play in those. When you think about this team, you have to realize that the 2007 Evanston Red Devils finished 8-3, with two of those three losses coming to the eventual State Champion Cheyenne East Thunderbirds - by the way, terrific letter to the editor from Jeremy Kurz's dad in the Uinta County Herald - that's what it's all about. Read it. What he relayed I already knew, but a very classy gesture from Mr. Kurz, nonetheless. A great letter, truly, and a nice tribute to our football program, school, community, parents & fans. Speaking of terrific, my friend Steve Kodad's coverage of Red Devil Football and all EHS Sports has been stellar - the best Uinta County Herald sports coverage I've ever witnessed...(Steve, you can slip me that $20 @ the awards banquet).
Meanwhile back at Replay Ranch...the games will be posted just as soon as possible...
Congratulations, Red Devils!
The EHS Football Booster Club welcomes you to join in the celebration of a fantastic season for Red Devil Football! Monday, November 19th @ The Machine Shop beginning at 6:30 PM. More information to follow...or feel free to add...

A matter of trust

It was a play the Cheyenne East football team had run countless times this season.
Senior quarterback Alex Stratton lined up in the shotgun formation, took the snap from center, read what the defense was doing and often ran for big yardage.
But this time Stratton gained only 1 yard. It was really closer to 1 inch.
But it was enough to score the game-winning touchdown - after the extra point by senior kicker Jeremy Kurz - to give East a 35-34 double-overtime victory over Gillette last Friday in the Class 5A semifinals at Okie Blanchard Stadium.
The Thunderbirds (8-2) advanced to their third straight state championship game and host Evanston (8-2) at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Stratton accounted for all five of East's touchdowns in the game. He scored on a pair of 1-yard runs and threw for 226 yards and three scores. He rolled up 299 yards of total offense.
For his efforts, Stratton is the WTE's Prep Athlete of the Week for the second time this fall.
East had the ball first-and-goal at the Gillette 1-yard line in the second overtime, but three straight quarterback sneaks with Stratton under center failed.
On fourth down and with their playoff lives on the line, the T-Birds went back to their bread-and-butter play.
"Talking on the headphones with (assistant coach Kirk Nelson), I said, 'We're going to run the play that got us here,' " coach Chad Goff said. "Alex had great yards on that play all year.
"From the 1-inch line, you can't really throw the ball real well, and they weren't allowing the sneak. We were going to spread them out, make them play defense on our wide receivers and force them to get some people out of the box.
"It worked out well."
Stratton was frustrated that the three previous plays had not resulted in a touchdown, and he was determined to score on the fourth.
"I kept it as positive as possible," he said. "I put it in my mind that I was going to score - there were no ifs, ands or buts about it. I don't think I would have allowed myself to do anything less."
East introduced its spread offense during fall camp back in August. Goff said he wanted to use the speed and athleticism of his running backs and receivers.
It is Stratton's first season of playing quarterback.
"I never expected to get the stuff out of the quarterback that we did this year," Goff said. "I didn't think Alex would come in and do such a great job.
"He has exceeded my expectations by far. He's really put a good bar out there to measure our next quarterbacks down the road."
Said Stratton: "I love everything about (the offense). I love how it gives me a lot of options to move the ball. To get up in between the tackles, I like that a lot. I also enjoy dropping back and passing."
Stratton has rushed for 996 yards and scored 17 touchdowns. He also has thrown for 1,443 yards and 18 touchdowns. He leads the state in all-purpose yards at 243.9 yards per game.
"It's amazing how Alex can scramble and still find us wide open," said senior receiver Darren Neely, who caught six passes for 107 yards and a touchdown against Gillette. "His composure is really good, and it probably helps that he has played varsity the last couple of years."
Stratton is one of a handful of players who played in each of the last two state title games for East, and he is hopeful that the third time is the charm in terms of bringing the school its first state football title since 1974.
"It's just how much we've improved over the season," said Stratton on how this team is different than the past two East squads. "At the beginning of the year, there were a lot of uncertainties.
"Throughout the season we've grown so much together as a team and have been able to trust each other more each week. That has been a big plus over the last couple of years."

East defeats Campbell County 35 to 34 in double-overtime. The Camels scored first in the 2nd overtime, but had a bobbled snap on the PAT attempt. Gillette held the T-Birds out of the endzone for really 6 plays, but a roughing the passer penalty gave East a first and goal at the 4. On 4th down, with the game on the line Alex Stratton finally reaches paydirt, and the extra point puts the Thunderbirds in the 5A Title game for the third year in a row. East will host the Rock Springs @ Evanston winner more than likely next Saturday from Okie Blanchard Stadium. Had the roughing the passer call not been made, i don't think the Thunderbirds would have scored - the Camel defense had been goalline tough all night.Shoot! Would have been nice to know that we were also playing to host the Championship game in tomorrow's showdown with the Tigers! Go Red Devils!
East up 14 to 7 at the half, and the Camels tie things up in the 3rd. East scores on a two-play drive after big kick-off return with seconds remaining in the 3rd to go up 21-14, as the Camels get a big return of their own and are driving in the 4th.
Listen to the Campbell County Camels @ Cheyenne East Thunderbirds by clicking on "Camels @ T-Birds" Gillette scores near the end of 1st quarter to tie the game @ 7. Go Campbell County? Yeah, we want to host (after getting by Rock Springs, that is...)
Hey Mark, Great site! I must say thank you for streaming the games online so that us long distance Red Devils can listen. Go Devils!
haha just kiddin go Red Devils!!!!!!!!!!!
The semi-final match-up with the Rock Springs Tigers in the 5A State Championship Football playoffs is scheduled for 1 PM from Red Devil Field. Pregame coverage will air at 12:20 on KEVA and online. Plans call for a "Red-Out" and possibly tailgate festivities. We'll keep you posted. Do remember that because this is a Wyoming High School Activities Association sponsored event, there is a $4 charge for adults & $2 for students. the winner will face the Campbell County Camels @ Cheyenne East Thunderbirds for the state crown - if Evanston wins and east does as well, evanston would travel to Cheyenne; if the Camels defeat the T-Birds, Evanston would host! Go Red Devils!
Congrats to the devils on a thriller in casper. With the way things have set up a state championship run looks very possible.
Upset City...Evanston and Kelly Walsh in a thriller from Casper's Harry Geldien Stadium - the Red Devils tied the game @ 14 apiece, but never led untl their last score - Evanston advances with their 36 to 31 come-from-behind first-round playoff victory - both teams with over 400 yards of total offense in this shoot-out! Congratulations Red Devils! And, we host next Saturday, as the Rock Springs Tigers upset Cheyenne Central @ Riske Field, 34-27. Natrona loses to Gillette? Yeah, it happened...Camels beat "the team to beat" 30-23 at Cheney Alumni Field. Cheyenne East rolls over Green River 38-10 @ Okie Blanchard, so now it's down to 4 in the 5A - Rock Springs @ Evanston & Campbell County @ East - Go Red Devils (as always) and Go Camels? Absolutely! We'd llove to host the title game in the ETown!
The 5A Football brackets are posted. Click the Blue link to see the official brackets. I had previously selected who I thought would be there, and had all of the teams, just a few of the first round match-ups are different than my prognostications.
Everybody takes their game up a notch as this new season begins, that's a given. We're also talking parity, the likes of which, may not have been present as in years past. The old saying, "Any team can beat any team on any given night" really rings true in this year's 5A division.
With that said, I like where the Red Devils are situated. They defeated every team on their side of the brackets during the course of regular season.
The pairings are
Rock Springs @ Central
Evanston @ Casper Kelly Walsh
Green River @ Cheyenne East
Campbell County @ Natrona County
Are the teams the same as they were in that regular season? Of course not. Some have risen & some have fallen. Injuries play into this, as well. As much as certain Red Devils have stepped up, you really can't minimize the loss of a player like Rocky Schuler - just a natural for the game who loves to compete. Other teams may have similar setbacks, but all I know is Evanston will have to step up as a team if they are to match their regular season success in the playoffs. I believe they will.
So, I'll offer my predictions....Central over Rock Springs in a tight game (this would easily be my upset selection)
Evanston over Kelly Walsh
East over Green River, but this one will be tight, too. A Wolve upset wouldn't surprise me, but I'll go with East @ home).
Natrona over Campbell County.
Round two:
Evanston propels themselves to the title game with a victory at Riske Field over Central.
Natrona handles East at Cheney Alumni Field.
Title game: Well, let's just stop right here for right now.
Of course I like the Red Devils' chances. They beat Natrona in the E-Town in one of the best battles I've ever seen, let alone had the pleasure of calling. Natrona is ranked #1 for a reason. They have improved every week, haven't suffered a loss since Evanston, and in my opinion, the team to beat - the championship will go through Natrona County.
What are your thoughts?
Go Red Devils!
Dustin,
Thanks for posting the info. on Dane.
Lady Red Devils defeat both Star Valley and Green River 3 games to 1 on Friday to advance to play #2 Natrona County @ noon on Saturday. The Lady Red Devils also assured themselves of a state tournament berth.
Congrats EHS Volleyball! Thanks to Kevin Kallas for reports to KEVA & Magic 99 from Casper.
The Red Devils defeat the Plainsmen 28-14 @ Deti Stadium. Evanston finishes 6-2, and will more than likely travel to Casper to face Casper Kelly Walsh in the first round of the playoffs, a team they defeated in the Oil City in week one.
Thanks to VerDon Hoopes & the "Voice of the Plainsmen," David Settle for an excellent game call.
Go Red Devils!
Dane Hill is playing basketball for Eastern Wyoming Community College this year. He played 1 year at Western before he served his mission.
Listen online my clicking the blue title link. The Voice of the Laramie Plainsmen, David Settle along with VerDon hoopes will have tonights call.
We will have some break-in coverage from the KEVA Studios including updates from Kevin Kallas at the 4A West Conference hosted by Casper Kelly Walsh High School the host school. Evanston defeated Star Valley in 4 games and will face the Lady Wolves of Green River, who advanced by virtue of a victory over their cross-country rival, the Lady Tigers of Rock Springs.
Rock Springs will face Star Valley @ 4:30, followed by the Lady Red Devil - Lady Wolve contest @ 6:30. We should have results before the football sportscast ends. If the Lady Red Devils defeat Green River, they will most likely face the 2nd ranked Fillies of Natrona County tomorrow morning. Should they fall, they'll turn right around and face the loser between Star Valley and Rock springs @ 8:30 PM.
Go Red devils & Lady Red Devils!
Dane, if I'm not mistaken played one year at Western Wyoming College, served the mission as you pointed out, and then was back @ WWCC. I know he came up to say hello during a home Red Devil hoops game last season. I'll see what I can find out...
Where's Dane Hill? I knew his family in Illinois, when he was still a kid. His older brothers were pretty good basketball players, but I am told Dane is now better than them all. And I heard he was offered a scholarship to play at Wyoming after his church mission. With Wyoming getting a new head coach, I'm wondering if that is still the case. Does anyone know if he will be playing college ball?
ust doing some speculating, and if there's one thing I've learned or I know about Wyoming High School Football, it's that I really know nothing. Again, these are simply my predictions, based on how I expect the teams to finish.
Central as a 1 hosting Campbell County,
Natrona as as 1 hosting Green River,
East as a 2 hosting Rock Springs
and Kelly Walsh as a 2 hosting Evanston.
Just my thoughts. A lot can still happen and even in week 8, there's still lots of football yet to play....
Did anyone happen to record the Lady Red Devils win over Star Valley? We carried the sportscast live on KEVA Thursday night, and I recorded it the same way I do the football & basket ball games. While editing, I may have inadvertantly deleted the file. Doh! I'm trying to recover the sportscast, (may not be possible) as I told Red Devil Volleyball fans that I would post the replay. So, if anyone happened to record it, please let me know. 679-3844.
Congrats to the Lady Red Devils on their Senior Night 3 games to1 victory over the Lady Braves. Good luck at regionals and state in Casper. You girls are exciting to watch! We had fun with the sportscasts. Thanks again, Kevin Kallas and Clint Chandler!
Speaking of recordings and replays, the Red Devil Football games vs. Green River and Star Valley will be posted soon. The Kelly Walsh sportscast will have to be removed to make way for the Green River & Star Valley games.
Thanks for checking and leave some ink! Go Red Devils!

Hey guys I like the the site. Being able to listen to the games all the way from Florida is awesome. Hope all is well and keep up the good work.
Dustin and all that checked for the online simulcast -
Bill Smith, the operations manager for KEVA & Magic 99 has received several calls about the online feed not being operational last Friday night. Our apologies. We think it was a matter of a switch at the studios not being turned back on, as there are times we have to shut our simulcast down so as to not infringe on broadcast copyright concerns. We will do our best to make sure this never happens again. I usually check the online signal before I leave for the sportscast, but didn't do so for the Rock Springs game.
Go Red Devils!
Hey Red Devil fans!
Running behind a bit but will have the sportscast replay of the Central game posted by Tuesday and should have the Rock Springs game up Wednesday, if not tomorrow, too. Enjoy EHS Homecoming week!
